Menicon Progent is a solution particularly recommended for cleaning and removing proteins from the surface of Rigid Gas Permable (RGP) Contact lenses by simply soaking them in the mixture for only 30 minutes periodically.
The efficacy of Menicon Progent lies in its strong, rapid action against all the organisms likely to contaminate lenses, including bacteria, moulds, yeasts, viruses and acanthamoebae trophozoites and cysts.
To ensure excellent comfort and prolong the life of your RGP lenses it is recommended to remove proteins with Menicon Progent weekly, in combination with MeniCare Plus Solution.
Ingredients
Progent A:
NaCIO 20.30mg, purified water ad 5ml/dose.
Progent B:
KBr 30.75mg, purified water ad 5ml/dose.
Directions
Use once a week.
Clean your lenses thoroughly with regular cleaning solution (MeniCare Plus). Place them into lens holder caps of the cleaning vial. Ensure each lens is in its appropriate right or left holder. Rinse them with a MeniCare Plus or saline solution.
Open a single dose each of Menicon Progent A and B by gently twisting the cap. Hold upright, taking care not to spill any solution as you open it. Pour Menicon Progent A, then Menicon Progent B into the vial. DO NOT spill Menicon Progent on your hands or clothes.
Close the lens holder cap securely on the vial and gently shake it a few times. Menicon Progent treatment starts when Menicon Progent A and B are mixed together.
Soak the lenses in Menicon Progent for 30 minutes.
Remove the lens holder cap, being careful not to spill the solution. Rinse the lenses in the holder thoroughly with MeniCare Plus or saline solution.
Clean the lenses again thoroughly with MeniCare Plus and rinse them in the holders with MeniCare Plus or saline solution. The lenses may then be worn or stored in the storage case.
Dispose of Menicon Progent solution carefully. Rinse the vial and lens holder cap thoroughly with a saline solution and let them air dry.
Warning
Do not use with soft contact lenses.
Do not soak lenses in Menicon Progent for over 30 minutes. Lenses might discolour. However, this will not affect their quality.
Do not apply Menicon Progent to the eyes. In case of misuse, immediately rinse your eyes with water and consult your eye care practitioner.
Do not use Menicon Progent A and B solutions separately.
Do not use Menicon Progent A and B after expiry date printed on the single dose.
Single use doses. Discard the solution and the doses after each use.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not swallow.
Menicon Progent treatment and storage should be done at room temperature.
Do not spill Menicon Progent on your clothes. It may bleach them.
Do not mix with other fluids except as directed.
