Comvita Propolis Herbal Elixir is a herbal formulation combining propolis, manuka honey UMF10+ and echinacea purpurea extract to support our body's immune system and soothes sore, dry throats.

Manuka honey has traditionally been valued for its antibacterial property and health-maintaining effects. Now science has helped explain the reason for these long-held beliefs, with New Zealand Manuka honey gaining worldwide recognition for its exceptional properties.

Propolis contains high levels of active bioflavonoids, with well-known immune support and antioxidant properties. Studies suggest propolis has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Propolis comes from natural resin and sap, part of the defence system of trees. Honey bees collect these materials, add special substances of their own, and turn them into propolis, which they use to protect the hive.

Echinacea has immune supporting and stimulating properties that have been found to assist good health, especially during winter. Scientific findings have confirmed echinacea's effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of mild upper respiratory infections such as the common cold. This formulation uses Echinacea purpurea, believed to be the most potent echinacea species for the prevention and treatment of mild upper respiratory infections.

Echinacea boost the immune system by increasing the number of white blood cells to defend the body against foreign bacteria and viruses. Echinacea also stimulates the phagocytes to engulf and digest bacteria and other foreign microorganisms.

Honey (Multiflora), apple (Malus spp.) cider vinegar, purified water, peppermint (Mentha piperita) oil, carrageenan, eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) oil, xanthan gum, tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) oil, clove (Syzigium aromaticum) leaf oil, calcium phosphate, glucose, fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) oil, silicon dioxide.

Contains fructose, glucose and sucrose from honey.

Contains NO artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives.
 

Directions

Adults: Take 2 teaspoonfuls (10ml) every 2 to 3 hours as required. take up to 40ml daily. Can also be mixed with warm water as a soothing drink.

Children over 2 years: Give 1 easpoonful (5ml) every 2 to 3 hours as required. Give up to 20ml daily. Dilute with warm water and sweeten with honey as necessary.

Not to be given to children under 2 years of age without medical advice.

The honey in this bottle may naturally crystalise. Warm slightly to liquify.
