FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Eliminates feminine odour.
  • Relieves itching & irritation.
  • Helps prevent bacterial vaginosis.

RepHresh Vaginal Gel is a long-lasting product to help keep vaginal pH balanced at a healthy level, to relieve minor discomfort and odour.

When vaginal pH is unbalanced, odour-causing micro-organisms can flourish. For long lasting freshness and confidence, use RepHresh gel once every 3 days.

When used once every 3 days, RepHresh gel helps maintain a healthy vaginal pH. Studies show that vaginal issues often occur when vaginal pH is unbalanced. By maintaining a healthy vaginal pH, you can help reduce your risk of vaginal issues. Vagnial pH imbalance is most likely to occur:

  • after intimacy
  • after douching
  • after your period

A normal vaginal pH level of 4.5 is important for maintaining good vaginal health. At this optimum pH level, your vagina contains a balance of necessary bacteria and some yeast cells. This delicate balance can be easily disturbed. When this happens, vaginal problems like odour and discomfort are more likely to occur.

RepHresh gel is colourless, odourless and long-lasting.

 Commonly Asked Questions

How do I know if RepHresh is safe to use?
Clinical trials have consistently shown that RepHresh is as safe as it is effective in maintaining a balanced vaginal pH. And it contains no hormones, estrogen or antibiotics. To read the clinical studies, click here

How do I use RepHresh?
RepHresh is simple and easy to use. The applicator is inserted into the vagina just like a tampon. After pressing the thick end of the applicator, a small amount of clear gel enters the vagina. Please look inside your RepHresh package for complete directions.

How often should I use RepHresh?
RepHresh should be used once every three days for best results. It may be helpful to use RepHresh during the times you are most susceptible to higher pH levels, such as after your period or sex. Your doctor can help you figure out when you are most susceptible to higher pH levels based on your medical history.

Can I use RepHresh while I’m on my period?
Yes, but it’s not recommended. The gel may stick to blood and form clumps, which can be unpleasant. However, blood from your period can cause your pH level to rise and become unbalanced. To help avoid this, use RepHresh 3 days before and immediately after your period to maintain a healthy vaginal pH balance.

When is the best time of day to use RepHresh?
You can use RepHresh anytime, day or night, and still enjoy maximum effectiveness. For instance, some women may choose to use RepHresh before showering and others may use it before going to bed. You should use it at whatever time you feel most comfortable.

Is RepHresh a cream?
No. RepHresh is a clear, vaginal gel that comes in an applicator, which means you won’t have to experience the mess that comes with a vaginal cream.

Is RepHresh a contraceptive?
No. RepHresh contains no spermicides and should not be used as a form of contraception.

Can pregnant women use RepHresh?
If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before using.

Can menopausal women use RepHresh?
Yes. Actually, the use of RepHresh during and after menopause can help eliminate the vaginal dryness and discomfort that often occurs during these times. Or if you just want a long-lasting vaginal moisturizer, try Replens Long-Lasting Feminine Moisturizer, by the makers of RepHresh.

Will RepHresh cause irritation?
RepHresh contains no perfumes or deodorizers that tend to cause irritation. If irritation does occur, however, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Can I have oral sex/intercourse while using RepHresh?
Yes, both oral sex and intercourse are safe while using RepHresh. In fact, the use of RepHresh can even help lessen discomfort after intercourse. Also, because the pH level of sperm is high, it can cause your vaginal pH to become unbalanced. The use of RepHresh after sex will keep your vaginal pH balanced. And by maintaing a balanced pH, RepHresh also helps control vaginal odor, which may make you and your partner feel more comfortable during those intimate moments.

Can I take RepHresh with other medications?
RepHresh has no known interactions with other medications.  As with all products, you should consult your physician if you have concerns.

Does RepHresh do anything for vaginal odor?
Yes. Vaginal odor is often about pH balance, not bad hygiene. If you are uncomfortable with your normal vaginal odor, the use of RepHresh will balance your pH and begin eliminating odor immediately after the first use. However, unusual vaginal odor can be a symptom of a more serious problem, and in this case you should see your doctor for a correct diagnosis.

How do I know I am depositing the right amount of RepHresh?
The pre-filled applicator is designed to deposit the recommended amount of RepHresh.  When used as directed, a small amount of RepHresh will remain in the applicator after use.  Discard this excess product along with the applicator.

Does RepHresh have any side effects?
Some women may notice a residue after use of RepHresh—this is caused by the elimination of dry vaginal cells. Your body naturally sheds dry vaginal tissue that has built up over time. RepHresh helps this happen, leaving softer, suppler tissue behind. When used on a regular basis, RepHresh will help prevent the buildup of dried skin cells and the discharge should become less. If the discharge does not become less, you may want to wait an extra day or two between applications.

Vaginal pH
pH is a measure of how acidic or alkaline a substance is. The pH of a certain substance is described as a number from 0-14. The lower the number, the more acidic the substance. Distilled water is neutral, and has a pH of 7. The pH of a healthy vagina is 3.5 to 4.5, which is acidic.

Why does pH matter?
You’ve probably heard that pH balanced shampoo can keep your hair strong and healthy, or that pH balanced deodorant eliminates odor and perspiration to keep you feeling fresh. But it’s not just our hair and underarms that benefit from pH balance. In fact, pH balance plays a large role in the overall health of our bodies. And different parts of the body function best at different pH levels.

What is healthy vaginal pH?
A normal vaginal pH of 3.5 to 4.5 is important for maintaining good vaginal health. At this optimum pH level, your vagina contains a balance of necessary bacteria and some yeast cells. This delicate balance can be easily disturbed.

Why does vaginal pH matter?
When this balance is disturbed, vaginal problems like odor and discomfort are more likely to occur. When vaginal pH is unbalanced, odor causing microorganisms can flourish. Studies show that vaginal issues often occur when vaginal pH is unbalanced. By maintaining a healthy vaginal pH, you can help reduce your risk of vaginal issues.
