Pro Vitamin B5 (also known as panthenol) is a humectant, emollient and a moisturiser. Pro Vitamin B5 binds to the hair shaft and is therefore a great ingredient for use in both shampoos and hair conditioners. It coats the hair and seals its surface, lubricating the hair shaft and making strands appear shiny and smooth.
