Cranclense combines cranberry with sodium bicarbonate and other alkalising agents to relieve cystitis and urinary tract discomfort.
The cell linings of the urinary tract are coated with mucous which prevents bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract walls. Infection occurs from bacteria growth within the urinary tract. Cranberries contain proanthocyanidins, which have been found to prevent urinary tract infection causing bacteria, E. coli from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract and colonising there causing infection.
Cranberries also help mask urinary odours associated with incontinence.
Cranclense also contains alkalising agents to reduce the acidity of urine and can help improve cystitis symptoms such as stinging and burning pain during urination.
Ingredients
Each tablet contains:
Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) fruit flesh - 10g
Also contains:
Sodium bicarbonate, citric acid - anhydrous, tartaric acid, maltodextrin, sorbitol, macrogol 6000, saccharin sodium.
Gluten and lactose free.
Directions
Take 1 tablet daily dissolved in a glass of cold water to relieve urinary tract discomfort.
May be taken up to 4 times daily if necessary.
Warning
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if pain or irritation persists for more than 48 hours.
Seek immediate medical help if there is blood in the urine or lower back pain.
Cranberry may increase the risk of bleeding with warfarin. Consult your healthcare professional before use if taking warfarin.
