Dr Reddy's Omeprazole 20mg Capsules are for the short-term relief of reflux-like symptoms. These symptoms may include a burning feeling rising up from the stomach or chest (heartburn), or acid regurgitation. The pain can be made worse by eating large meals, bending over or lying flat, and by hot, alcoholic or acidic drinks such as orange juice.
Omeprazole works by decreasing the amount of acid produced by the stomach through a highly targeted mechanism of action on the stomach. It is a specific inhibitor of the acid pump in the parietal cell of the stomach.
Dr Reddy's Omeprazole 20mg is rapid acting and provides control through reversible inhibition of gastric acid secretion with once daily dosing.

Ingredients
Active ingredient per capsule:
20mg omeprazole as enteric-coated granules.
Also contains mannitol, crospovidone, hypromellose, poloxamer, meglumine, povidone, methacrylic acid ethyl acrylate copolymer, triethyl citrate and magnesium stearate.
The gelatin capsules also contain erythrosin, patent blue V, titanium dioxide, gelatin and printing ink.
Directions
Adults - Take 1 capsule daily, swallowed whole with water.
Warning
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Do not chew or crush granules.
Do not take for more than 14 days.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if:
- Pregnant
- Taking any other medicines
- Symptoms persist, recur or worsen or if new symptoms occur.
Except following medical advice do not use if you suffer from:
- Weight loss
- Persistent regurgitation of food or vomitting
- Difficulty swallowing or symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding
