FESS Little Noses is a non-medicated saline solution that provides relief of dry or blocked noses due to colds, allergies, sinusitis or dry air. The gentle alcohol free saline solution will not sting your baby’s delicate nasal membranes and being non-medicated it can be used as often as needed without the worry of harmful side-effects.
A young baby’s natural instinct is to breathe through the nose – even when it is blocked. This can make the baby's life very frustrating, disrupting sleep, nursing and bottle-feeding. That’s why it’s so important to keep your baby’s nose clear.
FESS Little Noses works by loosening and thinning nasal mucus and moisturising dry nasal passages. You can then use the aspirator to draw out the mucus. This helps to clear stuffy noses, allowing your baby to breathe easier. As babies insist on breathing through their nose, a clear nose is essential prior to feeding and sleeping.
Directions
FESS Little Noses is suitable from the day baby is born. 1 to 3 sprays per nostril as often as needed.
The easy to use spray pump has been specifically designed to produce a soft spray ideal for little noses.
|
Hold your baby upright, place the nozzle at the entrance of each nostril.
Depress the spray pump. Apply 1 to 3 sprays per nostril.
Gently wipe mucus from the baby's nose to prevent skin irritation. Alternatively, a nasal aspirator can be used to gentle clear loosened mucus without the harshness of tissues.
|
 |
Hold the aspirator in one hand (away from the baby's nose) and expel air from the bulb before you place the tip at the entrance of your baby's nostril.
Gentle place the tip of the aspirator at the entrance of the nostril, pointing towards the back of the nose.
|
Hold the other nostril shut to create a vacuum.
Gradually let the air back into the bulb. The suction will pull mucus out of the nose into the bulb.
Squeeze the mucus out of the bulb onto a tissue.
|
 |
|
Repeat this procedure with other nostril. When you have finished, clean the aspirator with warm soapy water, rinse and air dry for continued use.
This process should be done before you put your baby to sleep and at least 15 minutes before a feed so that the baby can breathe and suck at the same time.
|
Warning
Consult your healthcare professionals if symptoms persist.
Never push the nasal aspirator into the nostril and do NOT squeeze the aspirator when it is already placed at the entrance to the baby's nostril.
Purified seawater equiv. 9mg/ml sodium chloride.
